According to news reports, the board at Dulles International Airport stands behind its decision to build an underground station because it would be more 1) convenient for travelers, and 2) attractive than an above ground station.

Alexandria Police to Conduct Roaming DWI Enforcement

From Alexandria eNews:

On March 26, Alexandria police will conduct a roaming DWI enforcement effort to deter and apprehend intoxicated drivers.  The DWI crackdown will begin at 10:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 26, and will continue until 6:00 A.M. on Sunday, March 27.  Motorists will be stopped and drivers will be checked to assure that their abilities to drive have not been impaired by alcohol or drugs.
