PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. (WUSA) -- A federal law enforcement agent was arrested after allegedly trying to choke a medic and then kicking a police officer when they responded to a home, say Prince William County Police.

Police say officers responded to the 12600 block of Tides View Court for a call to assist with a disorderly subject Monday at 12:13 a.m.

They say when officers arrived, they determined 41-year-old Julie Kathleen Laabs,  had attempted to choke one of the medics that had gone to the home for another person who had been injured in a fall.

While officers trying to restrain her, police say Laabs kicked at one of the officers, striking her in the chin.

Laabs, who is a federal law enforcement agent from Alexandria, has been charged with assault and battery on a firefighter, assault and battery on a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest.
