ALEXANDRIA, Va. (WUSA9) -- A 17-year-old male has been charged with murder in the death of a 42-year-old man found in an Alexandria park in August.

Police say the teen, who was not identified because he is a juvenile, is one of two people charged with murder in connection to the death of Khalid Aboumalik. The other man, 19-year-old Michael Powell, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder in August.

On August 5, Fairfax County police found the body of Aboumalik, of no fixed address in Fairfax County, lying in the grass of Huntington Park with wounds and trauma to the upper body.

Police say the teen is from the Huntington Area of Fairfax County and was acquainted with the victim. He was already incarcerated in Fairfax County on a charge of robbing Aboumalik, according to police.

The exact murder charge the teen will face was not specified.

The investigation into Aboumalik's death is ongoing and additional charges or arrests may be forthcoming, according to police.
