ALEXANDRIA, Va. (WUSA9) -- A man has been arrested after he allegedly sexually assaulted a woman on a commuter bus in Virginia.

According to Alexandria police, Tracy Lewis of Alexandria was arrested Wednesday and charged with abduction and sexual battery in connection to the incident.

An investigation found that on August 29, Lewis sat down next to an 18-year-old on a commuter bus at Lee Highway near Annadale Road. While the two were talking, Lewis allegedly inappropriately touched the woman and prevented her from leaving her seat.

Police say Lewis exited the bus near Lee Highway and Carlin Springs Road. The victim got off at the next stop and called police. She did not require any medical attention.
