ALEXANDRIA, Va. (WUSA9) -- A man is being sought in connection with the robbery of a Sweet Frog frozen yogurt shop in Alexandria, police said.

The robbery happened at the frozen yogurt shop located in the 500 block of S. Van Dorn Street on July 28, around 4:20 p.m. The man went into the store, sat at a table and waited for the customers to leave. The suspect then went up to the cashier and pulled out a knife. He took cash from the register and fled. Nobody was hurt in the robbery.

Police say the suspect is described as a white man in his mid to late 20's. He is about average height, has brown hair, a mustache with a goatee, and has a slim build. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt with a graphic on the back, dark shorts, flip flops, a baseball cap and glasses.

He was seen fleeing the scene in a newer model silver Honda accord. There was damage to the front end of the car, it was missing a front grill and the passenger side mirror was hanging from the car. A white woman with blond hair was driving the car.
