Man arrested for Alexandria shooting | News

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (WUSA9) -- A 24-year-old man has been arrested after a shooting in Alexandria Tuesday night.
The assault happened in the 4100 block of Mount Vernon Avenue at approximately 11 p.m. Juan Carlos Garay shot another man after a verbal altercation, in which he referenced a street gang, say Alexandria police. The victim suffered an injury to the hip and was taken to the hospital. He is expected to survive.
Garay is charged with Malicious Wounding, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and Gang Participation.
