ALEXANDRIA, Va. (WUSA9) -- It has been a year since music teacher Ruthanne Lodato was murdered at her Alexandria door. Neighbors set up a unique tribute in her memory on Friday night. WUSA9's Hank Silverberg was there.
The man police say killed her and two others are now behind bars and facing trial.
It was a sad day in the neighborhood for many people. Ruthanne Lodato was very well like and known by many. She lived in the area all of her life.
The Lodato family was all together Friday, however they chose to spend the time somewhere else.
A judge has ordered Charles Severance, a suspect in three Alexandria murders including Ruthanne Lodato's, to be hospitalized.
