Fairfax Co. Power Outage Affects Almost 800 Customers

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (WUSA) -- Le-Ha Anderson with Dominion Power says there is a power outage in the Holland Hall area of southern Fairfax County affecting about 755 customers on Tuesday afternoon. 

Anderson says the outage was caused by a tree limb that fell on the lines. 

Crews are working to restore power and power is expected to be restored between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.

Dominion Power is expecting sporadic outages throughout the day due to high winds.

Fairfax Police Department reports a number of traffic lights out in the Mount Vernon area of the county. Most of the intersections are along the Route 1 corridor, including:

  • Richmond Highway at South Gate Drive
  • Richmond Highway at Memorial Street
  • Richmond Highway and Beacon Hill Road
