From Matt Hagan: Another record-breaking milestone! The 2012 Army Ten-Miler (ATM) filled its 30,000 runner field in a record time. ATM officials announced today that the 28th annual race shattered all previous race registration records for both the priority and general registrations. The highly anticipated race will take place on Sunday, Oct. 21 in Washington, DC at the U.S. Pentagon.

28 Arrested In Va. Drug-Trafficking Ring

ALEXANDRIA, Va. - Twenty-eight people have been arrested for their alleged roles in a cocaine trafficking ring based in Northern Virginia that uses couriers to regularly import large amounts of cocaine from Honduras hidden in shoes and decorative wooden frames, according to officials.

The ring's members have allegedly wired more than $1 million from the United States to cocaine suppliers in Honduras.

Neil H. MacBride, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, and James W. McJunkin, Assistant Director in Charge of the FBI's Washington Field Office, made the announcement after the charges became public.

Police: Man Kidnapped, Locked In Trunk Of Car In Fairfax County

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (WUSA) -- A man was abducted and locked in the trunk of his car, just before he was robbed at knife-point, Fairfax County Police said.

It happened on the 6100 block of Cumberland Avenue, at around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, police said. 

"The victim, a 22-year-old man, was coming out of his home when he was approached by three men. One of the men displayed a handgun and forced the victim into his own vehicle, a red, 1998 Honda, four-door. All three suspects got into the vehicle as well. They drove the victim to two banks and forced him to withdraw an undisclosed amount of cash. The victim was then driven to an unknown location and forced into the trunk of his car; then driven a short distance," police said.

One of the suspects then opened the trunk and cut the victim's face slightly, police said.
