THINK OUTSIDE THE DIGITAL BOX

                                                         THINK OUTSIDE THE DIGITAL BOX

There is an obvious point being lost in the discourse over the continuing difficulties with the ObamaCare web based exchanges, now twenty-one days old. The vision of medical care for all Americans has been around for over fifty years, well predating the Internet. So if such a program had been instituted at any point between the New Deal and Hillarycare, how would it have been implemented?

IT'S A GOOD THING!

IT'S A GOOD THING!

With the delay of the employer mandate, it now seems almost daily some large business is jettisoning its workers and/or retirees from its company health care plan onto the Obamacare exchanges, much to the lament of liberals. Stop whining! This will accelerate the process of separating medical insurance from job status - and many of those purchases will be federally subsidized, moving this country baby steps closer to a single payer, government provided universal coverage benefit - like they have in other advanced nations around the world! A little upfront pain for greater long-term gain! It's a good thing!

THE FUTURE OF HEALTH?

                                                        THE FUTURE OF HEALTH?
Right after the 4th of July, Terry McAuliffe took a campaign tour of INOVA Alexandria Hospital, including a stop in its ER, stressing that expansion of Medicaid in Virginia, covering up to an additional 400,000 under the Affordable Care Act, would improve the health of the Commonwealth's residents, and its economy, by creating approximately 33,000 jobs by 2021, in addition to making "the system" more efficient.
About a month earlier, I was in that same ER, twice, on two consecutive days, a card carrying member of BCBS Federal.
