CARMELLO's NEW YEAR’s EVE FIVE-COURSE DINNER; LIVE BAND

Carmello’s of Old Town Manassas, Va. is offering two New Year’s Eve dining options on Tues., Dec. 31. At 9:30 p.m., Carmello’s will feature an All Inclusive Five-Course New Year’s Dinner with live band, party favors, midnight toast and beverages. CHRISTMAS EVE DINNER at CARMELLOS; KIDS UNDER 12, EAT FREE

Carmello’s of Old Town Manassas, Va. is offering a Christmas Eve dinner on Tues, Dec. 24 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and children, 12 and younger can eat free from Carmello’s children’s menu. A two-pound lobster, stuffed with crabmeat, shrimp and scallops will be offered for $48, and diners can also choose items from the new winter menu, which includes favorites like Wild Boar Ragout, Veal Agnolotti and Mar E Terra.  For more reservations, go to www.carmellos.com.

METRO SCHOOL of the ARTS HOSTS New Year Eve's BENEFIT GALA; FOR FAMILIES, SUPPORTS SCHOLARSHIP FUND

Metropolitan School of the Arts (MSA) of Alexandria and Lorton, Va. will host A New Year’s Eve State of Mind Benefit Gala on Tues., Dec. 31 from 8 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. at the Waterford at Springfield at 6715 Commerce Street, Springfield, Va. The family-fun gala will provide entertainment for the whole family. Tickets are $120 per adult for ages 21 years old and older; $79 for youths, 13 years old to 20 years old; $49 for children, 6 years old to 12 years old; and 5 years old and younger are free. Cost includes cabaret performances, live band, pre-dinner reception, holiday buffet, silent auction, dessert buffet, New Year’s Eve toast, party favors and all beverages.

The Italian retailer now open in Rockville, Maryland offers Versace and Bisazza tiles, among many others

Italo Ceramica, a ceramic tile retailer with 36 stores in Europe, celebrated the opening of its first US showroom located at 725 Rockville Pike in Rockville, Maryland this month. The Italo Ceramica team welcomed more than 120 design industry professionals, media and customers for a grand opening celebration with special guests Andrea Bacchini, North America Market Director for Imola Ceramica, Italo Ceramica’s partner, and artist Alexander Stefan, who exhibited his photography. Stefan also raffled off one of his works during the evening event.

 “It was wonderful to be back on the George Washington University campus and it was amazing to be able to sample so many delicious cakes,” said Sabrina Campbell, Occasionally Cake owner.

Both Alexandria cake boutiques offer more than 100 cake and gourmet cupcake flavors. Occasionally Cake is also renowned for their cake truffles. Instead of discarding leftover cake, it became the centerpiece of their cake truffles, and then dipped in Belgian chocolate.

METROPOLITAN SCHOOL of the ARTS – BREAKFAST with SANTA at HOTEL MONACO  on Dec. 8

Metropolitan School of the Arts (MSA) of Lorton, Va. will host their annual Breakfast with Santa on Sun., Dec. 8 at 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the Hotel Monaco, 480 King Street in Old Town Alexandria. Tickets range in price from $35 to $45 per person. All tickets can be purchased online at www.metropolitanarts.org

ThFrosty Follies’ performers will join Santa for the annual Breakfast with Santa. The family-event offers Sunday brunch at the Hotel Monaco in Old Town Alexandria, complete with a live jazz performance from Metropolitan School of the Arts’ dancers, interactive song and dance workshop for the kids, special goody bags and visits from Frosty the Snowman, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Suzy Snowflake and her International Dolls.
