The Capital Home and Garden Show Gears Up for a Big Weekend

Preparations are well underway at the Dulles Expo Center for this weekend's Capital Home & Garden Show. The show starts this Friday, February 25th and runs through Sunday, February 27th. This marks the 15th Capital Home and Garden Show and show manager, Alyson Caplan, is looking forward to hosting her first spring show after holding a successful fall show this past September. “This is the time of year people are planning spring projects,” said Caplan.

"It's pretty much a year long process to get the show up and running," said Caplan. Caplan said preparations include getting local and national exhibitors to fill up the space, getting local landscapers to do the "idea gardens," creating the show guide for visitors, and setting up the logistics for the 2 celebrities from HGTV (Chip Wade and William Moss) that will be doing presentations in the South Hall. Caplan said bring your kids because Clifford the Big Red Dog will be around all weekend and kids will certainly have fun looking at the hot tubs and exploring the exhibits.

The show will be held at the Dulles Expo Center South Hall, which is located at 4368 Chantilly Shopping Center in Chantilly, VA. The show will be open from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and then from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $13 at the door, and $10 online. Children are $3 and children under 5 years old are free.
