The George Washington University has been serving Virginians for more than 50 years, beginning in Hampton Roads in 1958 and expanding its service across the Commonwealth, notably in Arlington, Alexandria and Ashburn. The George Washington University will celebrate the opening of its new Arington Education Center. GW Provost Dr. Steven Lerman, Dean of GW’s College of Professional Studies Kathleen M. Burke, Arlington County Board Chairman Chris Zimmerman and Board Member Barbara Favola, State Senator Mary Margaret Whipple (D- Arlington County) and Representative Jim Moran (D- Va.) will join the celebration, which   will commemorate GW’s commitment to expansion and presence in the Commonwealth. Chairman Zimmerman will offer a brief keynote address.
