Old Town Manassas Bistro Features Uruguayan Cuisine on Sat., Aug. 27 and Tango Reo Dancers
 
In celebration of Uruguay’s Independence Day on Aug. 25, Uruguayan restaurant owners, Susana and Robert Barolin of City Square Café in Manassas, Va. are creating Uruguayan special dinners, including Tortellini a la Carusso, Churrasco a Caballo and Milanesa con Guarnicion on Sat., Aug. 27 at 5 p.m. Specials range from $19.99 to $24.99, not including tax and gratuity. The menu includes typical Uruguayan fare: Tortellini a la Carusso, a meat tortellini pasta with a creamy mushroom and cooked ham sauce; Churrasco a caballo is a rib-eye steak, topped with two fried eggs, served with French fries and a green salad; and Milanesa con Guarnicion, a thin sirloin steak, breaded and pan-fried, served with lemon wedges, salad and French fries.

Tango Reo of Washington, D.C. will present outdoor patio entertainment with their Tango dancers, Susan Reynolds and Constantino Bastidas from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. They’ll provide interpretations of the Tango and music from Latin America, with singing by Claudia Gargiulo, accompanied by Victor Medina on keyboard.

 City Square Café provides tapas and homemade American bistro favorites with an international flair, seven days a week. Hours of operation include: Mon. through Thurs., 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. (lunch and dinner,) Fri., 11 a.m.to 10 p.m. (lunch and dinner), Sat., 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. (breakfast, lunch, dinner), and Sun., 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. (breakfast and lunch).
