Julia Walter of Boffi and Brian Fell of Maxalto designed an Italian-themed tree that includes a Tuscany Villa getaway and gift certificates from local Italian restaurants and beauty salon.

Spectacular holiday trees and décor are now on display in the lobby of the Four Seasons Hotel in anticipation of the 8th Annual Georgetown Jingle held this Sunday, December 15th. The event benefits pediatric programs at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital’s Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Among the 18 designers this year are Julia Walter of Boffi and Brian Fell of Maxalto, who teamed up to create the Italian-themed tree for this year’s Georgetown Jingle. The two Italian firms share the Boffi-Maxalto showroom on M Street in Georgetown with showroom managers Walter and Fell collaborating on Albero di Natale, Italian for Christmas tree.

Their contemporary design approach at Boffi-Maxalto is reflected in the tree with the use of handmade ornaments, natural elements and the colors of Italy. The warmth of nature in Tuscany also inspired the concept for the tree, which includes a week’s stay at a Tuscany Villa donated by Barbara and Pete Howton. The tree also includes donated gift certificates from local Italian restaurants including Tuscana West, Ristorante Piccolo, Piola, and Il Canale, plus a gift certificate from Georgetown’s Luigi Parasmo Salon. Godiva at 1143 Connecticut Avenue, NW, also donated a gift basket filled with holiday chocolates for Walter and Fell’s Albero di Natale.

Other designers participating in this year’s Georgetown Jingle, chaired by designers Shazalynn Cavin-Winfrey and Joe Ireland, include Alexa Hampton, Barry Dixon, Andrew Law, Camille Saum, Darlene Molnar, Elizabeth Krial, Michael Roberson, Tricia Huntley, Debra Nicholas, Zoe Feldman, Yvette Freeman, Lisa Schumaier, Julie Shanklin and Marielle Shortell, Bill Enright, Andre Wells, Rachelle Roth and Terri Johnson, and Whitney Osterhout and Ramzah Khan.

Sunday’s Georgetown Jingle will feature two acts: Act 1, Holiday Wonderland, offering family-friendly activities from 1 to 4 p.m. with Act 2, Anything Can Happen, providing an adult-only cabaret evening from 7 to 11 p.m. During Act 1, children can create crafts with the help of designer elves Claire Schwab, Darlene Molnar, Iantha Carley, Regan Billingsley, staff at Niermann Weeks and Allie Mann of Case Design/Remodeling, Inc. Photos with Santa will be provided by TTR Sotheby’s International Realty with special appearances by Captain America, Spiderman and Frosty the Snowman. The second act includes entertainment by Pamala Stanley and Telly Leung.
