January 28-29 The Best of DC Shorts

The DC Shorts Film Festival celebrated its seventh year in 2010 and has become one of the area's best events. This weekend, January 28-29, DC Shorts will host a “Best of” program, highlighting some of the outstanding short films from the past seven years.

The average filmgoer doesn't get a chance to see many short films, if any. But short films can offer something that feature films can't. Because of the short format, filmmakers are given the freedom to be daring. They can take risks, try things they never have before, and the results can be unforgettable.

With a two hour program, the audience can be treated to around a dozen films, including narrative, documentary, and experimental. And just like the weather in some places, if you don't like a film... just wait five minutes.

The event this year will be held for the first time in Northeast's Atlas District. DC Shorts has worked out a number of special offers with Atlas District businesses to give attendees a break on food and drink.

The Best of DC Shorts regularly sells out, so act quickly if you want to get tickets.
