Alexandria Gears Up for Cambodian Community Day

Alexandria is getting ready for The 2010 Cambodian Community Day. This festival is dedicated to integrating Cambodian culture into American society. It is also about bringing Cambodian and American families together to have fun, share Cambodian heritages, and learn about Cambodian culture. The planning committee hopes to bring about a recognition of Khmer achievements and build the Khmer voice.

One special feature of the event is a handmade, stone replica of Angkor Wat. The festival will be held on Sunday, August 22 at Ben Brenman Park at 4800 Park Drive in Alexandria, VA from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Admission is free and the event is open to everyone!
